Checkout AutoRemove Functionality
Checkout AutoRemove is designed to help Shopify Plus merchants maintain a seamless and efficient checkout experience by automatically managing promotions. Specifically, it solves the common issue where customers might retain promotional gift products in their cart, even when they no longer meet the promotional criteria due to applied discount codes at checkout.
User Steps to Utilize the App
- Enter single or multiple Product IDs separated by commas, no spaces (products must be active in your store).
Example: 14860615385414,14898790465862,14898790465968
- Set the minimum cart value for eligibility. The product(s) will be removed if the cart value drops below this threshold.
- Set the message displayed at checkout.
- Save your settings.
App block required
- After completing the setup steps, you must enable the App block on the checkout page! Otherwise, the app will not function. See details below.
FAQs
How do I find the Product ID of a product?
1. From your Shopify admin, go to Products. Open the desired product.
2. In your browser’s address bar, locate the number at the end of the URL:
https://admin.shopify.com/store/yourstore/products/1234567890
Product ID is 12345678903.
3. Copy and paste the Product ID into app settings.
How to Add the App Block in the Checkout Page?
1. You can access the checkout in the Settings > Checkout section of your Shopify admin.
2. In the Configurations section, click Customize on the checkout configuration that you want to customize to open the checkout editor. Make sure to customize the live configuration.
3. In the visual Checkout Editor go to the section where you want to add the app block. Click Add app block. Search for BBBSoftDev Checkout AutoRemove in the list and select the block. We recommend adding the block under Order summary > Discounts for better visibility.
4. Save the changes to apply the configuration.
How is the Cart Value Calculated?
The cart value includes only the product prices, excluding other taxes and costs.
How Do I Disable the Checkout AutoRemove?
Click the Disable button in the Settings to turn off the app.
